Jeffrey S. Markowitz and Richard S. Friedman
Jeffrey Markowitz and Richard Friedman are the Managing Members of RFJM Partners LLC. Since partnering in 1984, Jeff and Richie have focused on the public equity markets as well as private placements, bridge loans, PIPE’s and a variety of other private investments. They have invested both actively and passively in real estate development projects in Austin, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, New York City and Puerto Rico. They have acted as consultants to a wide array of companies focusing heavily on management competency as opposed to being industry specific.
Prior to partnering with Mr. Friedman, Mr. Markowitz was the Director of Operations for Delphi Film Associates, a joint venture partner with Columbia Pictures, providing financing for the production of feature length films. He started his career as a tax accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. in Atlanta.
Jeff Markowitz received his BBA from Emory University in 1979. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester. He also sits on the boards of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces and Yemin Orde Youth Village.
Richie Friedman has spent his entire life in the securities business. He was president of A.P. Montgomery from 1961 to 1974, an over- the-counter NASDAQ market maker. Shortly after disbanding A.P. Montgomery, Richie formed APMC Associates where he invested in the equity markets for his own account. During the 60’s and 70’s he wrote the ‘Richie Report’ for the Daily Mirror and weekly columns for the New York Times and the New York Post where he gave his insights into state of the Initial Public Offering market. He also wrote for the Financial World. |
